Douglas Gordon (geboren 1966 in Glasgow, Schottland) lebt und arbeitet in New York und Glasgow. Von 1984 bis 1988 studierte er an der Glasgow School of Art, die er mit dem Bachelor of Arts abschloss. Ein Nachdiplomstudium führte ihn anschliessend an die Slade School of Art in London.
